The World’s Top 2% Scientists list is a prestigious ranking of the world’s most-cited researchers, published annually by Stanford University. It is compiled using a methodology developed by a research team led by Stanford Professor John Ioannidis, based on bibliometric data from Elsevier’s Scopus database. The list includes the top 2% of researchers in each scientific field, assessed by standardised citation indicators such as the h-index, co-authorship, and a composite citation score (c-score). More information about the list is available here.
