On May 8, 2026, Vilnius University Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences 1st and 2nd year Cosmetic Chemistry students along with Study Program Committee Chairwoman Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jūratė Jonikaitė-Švėgždienė, members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Živilė Stankevičiūtė and Dr. Natalija Liškauskienė (social partner) visited “BIOK laboratorija” (BIOK LAB).
BIOK LAB – the largest cosmetics manufacturer in Lithuania. According to the company, it currently produces more than 250 different Lithuanian cosmetic products for facial, body and hair care as well as oral hygiene.
The students were welcomed by Portfolio, Innovation & Brand Manager Gintarė Mykolaitienė and Chief New Product Development Officer Virginija Šinkūnaitė. During the tour, participants learned about BIOK LAB products and brands, had a close look at the new product and quality control laboratories, as well as the production facilities. They also had the opportunity to ask questions about the company's operations and the processes of cosmetic development and manufacturing.
It was a wonderful opportunity to enrich their knowledge of the cosmetics industry and the subtleties of product creation, as well as to witness the dynamism and prospects of their future profession!
