DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT

The number of credits collected during bachelor's studies after the defense of the thesis must be at least 240; during master's studies – at least 120. An excess of credits is possible – up to 15 credits.

After logging in to VU IS (is.vu.lt --> Studies --> Diploma Supplement), final year students must check their diploma supplements. In case of inaccuracies, contact the Department of Studies by May 31, 2025:

  • students of the Institute of Chemistry should contact the study coordinator Rūta Aukštakojytė by e-mail ;
  • students of the Institute of Geosciences should contact the study coordinator Neringa Mačiulevičiūtė-Turlienė by e-mail .

SETTLEMENT OF GRADUATES WITH UNIVERSITY

Each graduate of Vilnius University, who successfully completes the study process, shall clear his/her obligations with the University no later than five working days before the scheduled diploma award day.

 

Students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences should clear their obligations with the following divisions of the University by June 9, 2025:

Library – Graduates must settle accounts with the University Library for borrowed library publications and equipment;

Dormitories Centre – The fully-settled University graduate is considered a student, who has no financial debts (fines) for the dormitory accommodation rental services provided to him/her;

International Relations Office – Graduates who have participated in the exchange programme have to contact Mrs. Vytenė Jankauskienė, International Relations Manager (e-mail: );

Department of Student Services and Career – Students who have gone on an Erasmus internship during their academic years have to settle with the Department of Student Services and Career (SPKS). If you have any questions regarding the settlement with the SPKS, please contact via e-mail ;

Administration of the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences – The settlement with the administration of the University’s main academic unit (faculty) takes place after the settlement procedure with other units of the University is complete. It may take a few days for all the information to reach the administration, but graduates do not need to take any further action or contact the Study Department.

 

You can follow the status of your settlement with the University’s departments by logging into the eStudent environment (is.vu.lt --> Studies -> Students settlement with the University).

Graduates who have key-cards of the Faculty must return them to the Dean's office, otherwise they will not settle with the administration of the Faculty.

On June 13, 2025 (8.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. and 13.15 p.m. – 16.00 p.m.) all graduates of the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences, who do not have debts to settle with the University, must come to sign in the diploma registration journal at the Department of Studies:

  • graduates of the Institute of Chemistry must come to sign at Naugarduko Str. 24, room 221;
  • graduates of the Institute of Geosciences must come to sign at M. K. Čiurlionio Str. 21, room 312.

 

Everyone has to sign in person.

If you do not sign the diplomas in the registration journal, you will not be able to receive diplomas at the Graduation Ceremony of the Faculty.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

GRADUATION CEREMONY

The Graduation Ceremony will take place on June 16, 2025, at St. John’s Church (Šv. Jono Str. 12, Vilnius).

1.00–2.30 p.m. – Bachelor’s diplomas:

Diplomas will be awarded by the Pro-Rector for Studies of Vilnius University, dr. Valdas Jaskūnas.

The graduates will be congratulated by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences of Vilnius University, prof. habil. dr. Aivaras Kareiva, the Vice Dean for Studies, assoc. prof. dr. Rasa Šimanauskienė, alumni of the Faculty, Danielius Jurčiukonis and the Vilnius City Women's Choir VIVA (artistic director of the choir – Vilija Mažintaitė, choirmaster – Augustė Andrijauskaitė).

Agnė Dirmantaitė, a graduate of the Biochemistry programme, and Augustas Reikertas, a graduate of the Cartography and GIS programme, will speak on behalf of the bachelors of the class of 2025.

 

3.00–4.00 p.m. – Master’s diplomas:

Diplomas will be awarded by the Pro-Rector for Studies of Vilnius University, dr. Valdas Jaskūnas.

The graduates will be congratulated by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences of Vilnius University, prof. habil. dr. Aivaras Kareiva, the Vice Dean for Studies assoc. prof. dr. Rasa Šimanauskienė, alumni of the Faculty dr. Kristina Klemkaitė-Ramanauskė and the CoCoMI vocal ensemble, led by Rūta Švipaitė.

Viktorija Vrubliauskaitė, a graduate of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry programme, Evelina Savickaitė, a graduate of the Geography and Spatial Planning programme, and Jessica Cindy Same Fakam, a graduate of the Geology programme, will speak on behalf of the masters of the class of 2025.

Considering the type of the event, we invite you to come dressed in formal attire. We remind you that mantles are not a tradition of our University; if you wish, you can wear university caps.
